As you start your new business or continue working on an old business you run into a ton of new words and processes that help get your store in front of customers. I know as I go down this journey I am constantly learning new things. I know when I first heard Meta description or meta definitions I was like WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT. I know there has to be at least 1 person out there feeling the same way. So basically a Meta description is HTML tag that summarizes a webpages content. I will explain about HTML in another post. Normally the meta description shows up under your page title in the search engine results page it should be around 160 characters long . Remember this is not an SEO ranking factor but more of a “Hey look at me don’t you want to click on me.” The page title is the SEO ranking factor but the meta description aids in effective on page SEO.
